The HOCHoben campsite is situated at an altitude of over 1,200 metres, in the middle of one of the most impressive hiking regions in Europe. The campsite is divided into a north and a south area, in the middle is the main building, in which the reception, gastronomy and shopping facilities, sanitary facilities and washrooms are located.

Mallnitz is the right place for those who are aware that you can combine a nature loving appetite and deep relaxation. The municipality in the middle of the Hohe Tauern National Park has less than 1000 inhabitants, but there is a lot on offer. Due to its proximity to the Ankogel mountain, there are plenty of opportunities in winter, from skiing to ski touring and classic cross-country skiing.

In summer, the Tauern Region beckons as a hiking paradise. From comfortable excursions to challenging summit ascents, there's something for everyone here. There is a wide range of activities for cyclists, fishermen and water sports enthusiasts – from rafting to canyoning and wakeboarding.

MOUNTAINBIKE More than 10 mountain bike trails with different levels of difficulty start directly in Mallnitz. In the centre of the village there is also a bicycle rental, from which you can rent bikes for day tours. If you want to approach the sport in a more relaxed manner, you can also rent e-bikes here, whose batteries can also be charged at our campsite. WATER Water is the largest treasure of the National Park region. Quiet lakes invite you to linger, rushing waterfalls awaken the spirit of adventure. Let your soul dangle at Lake Stappitz while your children run around to their heart's content in the leisure area, enjoy the peace and quiet while fishing at the river Möll or discover the rough sides of the water while rafting or canyoning. In the wild water arena Mölltal even professionals get their money's worth. KNOWLEDGE The visitor centre in Mallnitz is the ideal entry point to get to know the Hohe Tauern National Park – with all its fauna and flora. Research and experimentation is carried out with the little ones both in the Ranger labs and in the wild.
